I have been trying to take advantage of the theatre scene in London during my last few months here. In the last few weeks I have seen two very fun productions. The first was Dirty Dancing with Jin and Tori at the Dominion Theatre . The dancing was incredible, it was a lot of fun! The other one I saw was Newsies with Tori and her siblings visiting from Canada - we also ran into Ireland and Nefeli - off West End at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre which was a really cool theatre. The dancing was great and the cast came right into the audience during parts of the show. I really love going to shows! It's officially London park picnic season!!! Jin, Tori and her siblings and I kicked it off with a lovely weeknight evening picnic at Clapham Common . For Jin's Birthday on the 13th we all got together at Hyde park . Unfortunately, the gorgeous forecast turned out to be wrong and it was rather cloudy and cold. We made the best of it and had some fantastic snacks, and drinks. We vi

Temples, Markets, and Phad Thai - Bangkok, Thailand

I began the solo part of my adventure by flying from Phnom Penh to  Bangkok . Some wild cleaning robots in the Bangkok airport freaked me out, lol. I got a taxi and headed to the  Mad Monkey Hostel , where I stayed in a four-person mixed dorm, there were only guys in my room, but they were all so chill and friendly! I grabbed a famous 7-11 toastie and some crisps (£1.90); the prices there are incredible! I decided to sit in the bar area at the hostel as it was quite lively. I was going to chill and then head to bed, but I started chatting with people and ended up being talked into going on a pub crawl. I was handed a bucket of rum and coke and some crazy shot, and then we all headed out to  Khao San Road  for the evening. We saw some live music and danced a lot. A guy from the hostel bought me lots of drinks, I watched him eat a scorpion, and eventually, I headed back to the hostel. Khao San Road is a wild time. On my first full day in Bangkok, I had breakfast at the hostel, read my bo

Judy and I began our trip in Cambodia. She was visiting London, so we could fly from Heathrow to Bangkok with Thai Airways (the most efficient boarding process ever) together, which was nice! Overall, the flight was quite pleasant, I slept a lot more than I thought I would, and the spicy chicken and rice they served us for dinner was delicious; it was very spicy, which I enjoyed, but it was hilarious watching a plane full of British people eat the very spicy chicken, I was very entertained.  Once we landed in Bangkok , we headed straight from one airport to the other and got on another flight to Siem Reap in Cambodia . On the flight from Bangkok to Siem Reap, there was this weird smoke-looking stuff that looked like it was coming out of the overhead compartments. It freaked me out, but apparently, it was just condensed water droplets that had something to do with the high humidity outside the plane. The airport in Siem Reap is adorable, and the process of getting a visa there was easy.

Chocolate, Beer, and Waffles: Weekend in Belgium

Tara and I took advantage of the bank holiday Monday for the King's Coronation and headed to Belgium for two nights. I woke up early Saturday morning and set out for Kings Cross St. Pancras International train station. Instead of flying, we took the Eurostar... what a treat! It is sooo much cheaper, faster, and convenient to get to and from Kings Cross than any of the airports in London. Passing through security was super quick and easy. I found it really funny/interesting that you get to cross to borders within the span of like ten feet and a few minutes. We passed through the UK border passport control, walked a few steps and then went through the France border passport control. We took the train to Brussels which was approximately a two hour journey. We arrived by 10:30am.  After arriving in Brussels, we wal ked from the train station to the city centre. We wandered around the super cute streets and saw the STUNNING Grand-Place . The architecture around the square was incredib
